                <h3>Process of Conversion of Rubber Waste To Ropes</h3>

            <li><a href="">After the process of vulcanization, edges of conveyor belts are cut off and kept aside. The pieces are sent via a transportation team to Rajasthani villages in need.</a></li>
<li><a href="">Upon reaching the villages, a team ofworkers separate rubber from some pieces of textile that might be stuck to it.</a></li>
<li><a href="">The separated rubber is cut into thin strips to be sold to the villagers of the concerned area at a pre-fixed affordable price.</a></li>

                <h3>Application of The End Product</h3>

            <li><a href="">Used as ropes for extracting groundwater through wells in Rajasthan - as is widely known, Rajasthan is a dry region with grave scarcity of water in some regions. Many cities have modern methods of obtaining groundwater but people in villages are still using primitive methods like wells. It is extremely difficult to manually extract groundwater 250-300ft below the surface level. Strongest of the ropes sometimes fail to do this task leaving villagers with lack of groundwater making irrigation of crops a tussle in the region.<br>
Vulcanised rubber is not only of high strength, but is also flexible. Due to these two properties, it is ideal for use as ropes for extracting groundwater in large quantities, thus curing the fear of scarcity of water from the minds of villagers. With this aim in mind, we partnered with village heads in Rajasthan to make our product reach needy farmers.The same pieces of rubber that were considered waste, are today improving the lives of several farmersacross Rajasthan.</a></li>
<li><a href="">It is also being used as ropes for tying agricultural products onto trucks and trolleys. Farmers lose a lot of their produce before it hits the market shelves. A majority of it is lost during transportation because the produce is not properly stocked into the vehicle that is transporting it. Therefore, the scrap rubber is being used as ropes for tying the agricultural produce to the vehicle helping transport the produce securely.</a></li>

                <h3>Application of Money Earned From Sales of Ropes</h3>

<p class="mb-20">Forty percent of the earnings made by selling rubber scrap are given as funds to the ‘Just Sewa Society’. This non-governmental organization uses its funds in many ways, some of which are:</p>
            
            <ul class="mb-20">            
            <li><a href="">Education - Due to the lack of quality education at the public schools in Amritsar, Just Sewa Society, with the permission of Ministry of Education, has demolished three government schools and rebuilt them using grants from the government and private institutions. The society also runs free coaching and vocational classes thus helping underprivileged students improve their financial position through education.</a></li>
<li><a href="">Environment - The NGO has held numerous ‘Environment Awareness Seminars’ for students from different institutions in and around Amritsar. Through these seminars, the society has brought attention to the urgent need of working towards saving the environment from the ill effects of deforestation, single-use plastic, firecrackers, and other human activities causing harm to nature.</a></li>

<li><a href="">Healthcare - The society has recently been very active helping people who are being affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. They are providing meals to 400 rickshaw drivers who are out of business at the moment. They are also working tirelessly in providing masks to the police force. They have given employment to fifty women who have produced more than 60,000 masks until now.</a></li>
