Dr. Vishu Mehra, Ph.D. is an accomplished organic chemist currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Hindu College, Amritsar, where he has been contributing to teaching and research since 2015. He currently holds the additional responsibility of NSS Coordinator for the boys’ wing of the college.

He obtained his Master’s degree in Applied Chemistry from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, in 2007, following which he gained valuable industrial research experience as a Trainee Research Associate at Jubilant Chemsys (R&D), Noida, specializing in organic synthesis.

In 2009, he joined the research group of Dr. Vipan Kumar at Guru Nanak Dev University, where his doctoral work focused on the synthetic transformations of C-3 functionalized azetidin-2-ones to develop functionally decorated heterocyclic scaffolds with potential biological activity.

Current Research Interests:

• Design and synthesis of novel hybrid pharmacophores
• Molecular conjugation of medicinally active compounds to enhance biological efficacy and therapeutic potential

Dr. Mehra has received the Best Poster Presentation Award at an International Conference held at Panjab University, Chandigarh (2011) and was awarded the CSIR Senior Research Fellowship in 2013. In 2015, he earned a Postdoctoral Scholarship from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.

He has contributed significantly to this field with nineteen research papers published in reputed international journals and three book chapters in a reputed International and National book series. His research has been widely cited, with a total of 694 citations with h-index of 15 and i10-index of 17.

Dr. Mehra has actively participated in numerous national seminars, webinars, and workshops throughout his academic career. His commitment to research and institutional development was exemplified in 2025 through his role as Convener of the International Conference organized at Hindu College, Amritsar.

His scholarly contributions reflect his commitment to advancing the frontiers of organic and medicinal chemistry while nurturing young researchers and fostering a culture of scientific inquiry in his institution.

He has published 33 research papers in International Journals and published 02 books.

Dr. Rahul Kumar Mudsainiyan, after his Post graduation in 2010 from Department of Chemistry, G. N. D. U. Amritsar, India, pursued his Ph.D from the same institute.

He published more than twenty five articles of international repute and published two books on methods of preparation of nanoparticle materials with international publishers.

Currently, he is working as Assistant Professor in Dept. of Chemistry, Hindu College, Amritsar-143001.

Dr. Priyanka Mahajan is presently working as Assistant Professor in PG Department of Economics, Hindu College, Amritsar.

She is a distinguished educator with 13 years of teaching experience in her field. Her expertise is in the subject of International Economics and Macro Economics.

She has successfully organized two International Webinars, one International Conference and one National Webinar and also coordinated three Intellectual Property Awareness Programs under Intellectual Property Awareness Mission.

Dr. Mahajan’s research contributions include 20 papers in national journals and 6 in international journals, alongside 8 papers in edited books.

She has acted as a resource person in various seminars and has presented papers in 42 national and international seminars. She has also participated in 26 webinars, workshops and conferences.

Dr. Vani Arora is Assistant Professor in the PG Department of Economics.

She has a total of 22 years of teaching and research experience. She has done MSc. (Hons.) and Ph.D from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.

She has more than 22 publications in national, international and edited books. She has 3 books to her credit and has presented around 25 research papers in various conferences.

She has also delivered lectures as a resource person at Faculty Development Programs and has organized UGC sponsored National Seminar and various Webinars.

Dr. Abhishek Aggarwal is an Associate Professor & Head of the Department of Geography & Tourism at Hindu College, Amritsar.

He has done master’s degree from the Department of Geography, Kurukshetra University, and is a Gold Medallist. He has finished his M.Phil from the Centre for the Study of Regional Development, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, Masters in Tourism Management from Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi, and Ph.D. from Kurukshetra University.

He also has completed eight weeks of training in Remote Sensing (GIS & GPS) at the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), Dehradun. He has more than 29 years of teaching and research experience. He has to his credit many research papers published in leading national and international professional journals.

Areas of Interest: Regional Development and Tourism Geography.

He won National Scholarship in 1987 and cleared UGC (NET) exam in 1991.

He has presented papers at various national and international conferences. Did one research project at the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), Dehradun on ‘Changing Course of Rivulets in Dehradun – Mussoorie Belt – 1935 – 2005.

Dr. Sarish Khera is Assistant Professor in Geography in Hindu College, Amritsar. She received Gold Medal in Post Graduation from Guru Nanak Dev University. She cleared UGC (NET) exam in 2012. She received her Ph.D in 2022 from Punjabi University, Patiala.

With a passion for the beauty industry, she also completed a one-year certificate course in Cosmetology from Guru Nanak Dev University. She is the additional incharge of the Department of Cosmetology. She is dedicated towards art and science of cosmetology, empowering students to unlock their creative potential. Whether lecturing on cutting-edge techniques or leading hands-on training, Dr. Sarish Khera inspires future cosmetologists to combine skill, creativity, and care.

Mrs. Anu Kandhari is serving as Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Philosophy at Hindu College, Amritsar. With 16 years of teaching experience, she holds an M.A.(Gold Medal) and an M.Phil. from Department of Guru Nanak Studies (GNDU) and an M.Ed.(2nd position in College) from Khalsa College of Education, Ranjit Avenue, Amritsar.

Throughout her academic career, she has published more than 20 works in National and International Journals, Conference proceedings and Edited books. She has presented nearly 45 research papers at various National and International Seminars, Conferences and Workshops.

Additionally, Mrs. Kandhari has organized International and various National Webinars, as well as two International Conferences. She has acted as a Resource person in International Seminars, Webinars and ICPR sponsored lectures.

Her excellence in the field has been recognized with the Prof. N.S. Chauhan Memorial Creative Writer Award, presented by the Indian Psychometric and Educational Research Association.

Dr. Ranjeet Singh Sandhu is a Physical Educationist and certified cricket coach with strong academic and professional credentials. He holds a Ph.D., NET (UGC), M.P.Ed., and a P.G. Diploma in Sports Coaching (Cricket), along with the ICC Level-1 Cricket Coach Education certification (Dubai, 2021).

He has published extensively in leading international and national journals and has authored several books in the field of Physical Education and Cricket Coaching.

Dr. Sandhu has been serving as the Chief Coach of the Guru Nanak Dev University men’s and women’s cricket teams since 2011, guiding them to numerous championships. He has also coached the Rupali Bank Women’s Cricket Team, Dhaka, leading them to a title win in the Dhaka Premier Division Women’s Cricket League.
